Microsoft launched preview of Metro-inspired website.

Microsoft today announced a new homepage preview that’s been inspired by the company’s all-or-nothing Metro-design approach named Xbox360 . The old homepage gets still opened when you load the Microsoft website in a web browser of choice, with the new homepage only available on a preview location that you can access here.
What immediately notice is that the new homepage uses a fluid design that dynamically changes the width of the content so that it fits exactly on the screen, and can be viewed optimally regardless of screen size or device used to access it. While you may need to scroll down more on smaller screens, you will get the same contents and layout on all devices that you use to open the website.
Meanwhile the new features will also include Facebook sharing, Cloud storage for game saves and a new feature within Xbox Live profiles called Beacons that makes it easier for Xbox users to find their friends when playing online. The update will also deliver support for YouTube and Bing searches, utilizing voice control via Microsoft’s Kinect accessory. Fonts and Elements have been increased on the new site, which makes the page even more accessible on devices with smaller screen resolutions.
The biggest chance for me is the removal of the “link-mess” on the homepage. It is now a lot easier to find what you are looking for on the website. The homepage is not the only page on the website that has been optimized. Take a look at the re-designed download center, which finally offers direct access to operating system specific downloads.

Another Simplest way to Download YouTube Videos.

Lot of times, I was thinking that how we can download the YouTube Videos but always got no ways to gets the videos for download. I have found few tricks for me or in the past to help our readers to download YouTube videos. The tricks are still working perfect, but one needs you to install an additional third party tool or use a web service to generate the download link before you can actually download YouTube videos.
If you want to save these videos from YouTube, we have got a great way to downloadthese videos and all that with on your browser.

Downloading YouTube Videos

1. Download YouTube Video Download script from userscript.org on your browser and install it. Chrome users can directly download and install the script on their respective browser. Firefox users need to install a GreaseMonkey add-on before they install the script. Opera also supports user scripts but you need to install them manually.
2. After you have successfully installed the script restart your browser. The script will integrate seamlessly into YouTube, and you will notice no change in your browser.

3. Now open the YouTube page you want to download the browser form.
If you installed the script correctly you will see a Download button below the video next to Add to and Share button.
Simply click the Download button and select the quality of video you want to download
The video will now start downloading in the selected format. After the download is complete, you can play it on your default media player.

Microsoft Windows Phone 8 offers new features-but no upgradation for existing.

When Windows Phone is struggling to keep up with the runaway success of Google's Android mobile software, for which more than 900,000 devices are being activated every day. The research company Gartner said that in the second quarter Android sales were 56% of the world smartphone market, while Apple's iPhone had 23%. Rivals such as Windows Phone, RIM's BlackBerry, and Nokia's now-outdated Symbian had single-digit shares.
Windows Phone 7 arrived late in the ongoing war of the Mobile OS, it was interesting enough to grab the attention of consumers and critics alike. The best part of the Windows Phone ecosystem was that when the OS got the 7.5 Mango update, it was made available to each and every Windows Phone 7 device available in the market. But at present Microsoft synchronizes software so that Windows Phone 8 shares common code with its forthcoming Windows8 brother - but owners of existing devices will have to stick with intermediate version Sales of Nokia's Lumia phone have disappointed in some markets, including the UK.
Microsoft unveiled the new software at an event in San Francisco on Wednesday, explaining that it will be built on the same core code as its upcoming Windows 8 tablet and PC operating system, expected to be launched in next six months, when the new phone software will also be available. The features that have been announced with Windows Phone 8 are deeply integrated into the hardware of the device and hence will not be compatible with previous generation hardware or existing handsets such as Nokia's Lumia range.
Windows Phone 8 brings with it quite a few hardware features such as multi-core processors, new graphics engines, higher screen resolutions, micro SD storage, and NFC which are absent from the previous generation devices that supported the Windows Phone 7.x OS.

Microsoft announces new Surface tablet runs Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT.

Microsoft held an event at Milk Studios in Hollywood CA, where it announced its new line of Microsoft Surface tablets, which it calls a ‘whole new family of computing devices’. There will be a Surface for Windows RT and one that runs Windows 8 Pro. The tablet features a Gorilla Glass screen, and a kickstand. It was also shown off with a magnetic cover that appeared to be very similar to the Apple Smart Cover for iPad, but it features a full multitouch keyboard on the inner side.
There will be two Surface models, one running Windows 8 Pro and one running Windows RT. The Surface RT processor will be an ARM one and the Surface Pro processor will be Intel. The Pro model will be more powerful, with a higher resolution and a slightly chunkier case.
Windows RT model weighs 676g, is 9.3mm thin and comes with what Microsoft calls a 10.6", 16:9 ClearType HD display. The battery's a 31.5W-h model, you can choose between 32GB and 64GB of on-board storage, and connectors include MicroSD, USB 2.0, Micro HD VIdeo and 2x2 MIMO antennae for better WiFi performance. The processor hasn't been named but the smart money's on a Tegra 3. It supports pen input at 600dpi resolution, and there's a palm block so you don't lose focus when your palm touches the screen. The pen can be used just like a real one, with digital ink annotating documents or filling in forms.
Pro model is heavier - 930g - and thicker - 13.5mm - to make room for an Intel Ivy Bridge i5 processor. This time the ClearType display is "Full HD", which implies 1920x1080 resolution. The battery's bigger too, at 42W-h, and the connectors include MicroSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort and the same antennae. Storage options for the big Surface are 64GB and 128GB.

How can we freeup disk space with Clean Temporary Places ?

New temporary file cleaner system which is to differs from CCleaner. CCleaner is one of the best tools in the temporary file cleaning software and that every other application that gets created in the niche should be compared to it to answer the simple question why one should use it instead of CCleaner.
When we looks at Clean Temporary Files, all will immediately notice that it does not support as many locations as CCleaner, even if CCleaner Enhancer is not taken into consideration. And while you can add custom folders to the program that you want to clean up, it would mean lots of work to add all the locations manually to the application.
Clean Temporary places on the other hand ships with features that CCleaner does not ship with. This includes statistics about the cleanup history, displayed as a graph, and as total, maximum and previous values. And unlike CCleaner, Clean Temporary Files ships with networking support that network administrators can make use of to clean files on connected systems (CCleaner’s Network Edition offers the same functionality at a price).
It takes two clicks to clean up all the locations though, and while it lacks several locations that you may want to include in cleanup operations, it covers important locations by default. Another are where it lacks is support for Registry cleanups.

Microsoft replacing hotmail with Newmail rival to Gmail.

I was shocked when i heard about that Microsoft is launching the Hotmail new emails, The world’s biggest email service Hotmail which is strike to be resemblance to Gmail like in its design.
Hotmail is still the biggest email provider in the world with some 360 million users, but Gmail has caught up with 350 million, shooting up from just 260 million users last October. This Newmail will be in clean look when it comes out to front that has been used for the related stories.

Tile-style icons make it easy to flick between Mail,Contacts, Calendar and SkyDrive for cloud storage. There are some blank spaces though, hinting there could be more features on the way. According to Win Future, there's a mysterious vertical bar you can't see in the screenshot too.

Newmail service will also linked to our Facebook and Twitter accounts and will allow users to keep their contacts automatically in sync and see what their friends are doing on the service.
Newmail however, appears to be just the title for the service and users will still have @hotmail email addresses. But there's no word on when we'll see an official release, but I think it's reasonable to expect it around the same time Windows8 gets kicked out the door, so sometime around October.

How to disable Email Notifications on Google+

When I received quite a few email notifications from Google+ that informed me of new posts and comments on the social networking site. Meanwhile I didn’t mind in the beginning but it quickly turned into a problem as I started to receive quite new few emails on daily basis. Since I visited Google+ at least once a day, the notifications were not really that helpful to begin with, as I noticed what they notified me about when I visited Google+.
At the time I decided to disable all notifications on Google+ to reduce the number of emails. And since I’m probably not the only one who is wondering how to disable email notifications, I decided to post this little how-to guide on how to do that.

Disable Google+ Notifications

When you are on a Google domain check the top right corner of the screen to see if you are signed in to your Google account. If you are not signed in yet, click on the sign in button to do that.
Click on your profile image or the small arrow on the right of it, and select account from the overlay that opens up.
This opens the account management menu where you can make changes to your account. This includes enabling 2-Step verification (recommended), taking a look at the products available to you, or managing Google+’s settings.
A click on Google+ on the left opens privacy and notification settings that you can edit right there on the page. Scroll down and take a look at the notification settings here.
I have disabled all checked notifications and the email subscription as well. You can keep some items checked if you want to be notified about these events when they happen, and not when you happen to visit the Google+ website again. Once you make changes, the preferences get saved automatically.

How to create Passphrases with the help of KeePass?

Passphrases have lot of advantages over conventional passwords that depends on variety of situations. The main relinquished factor between passphrases and passwords is that the former consist of multiple phrases, which are often words. One of the benefits of this method is that it renders the majority of dictionary attacks useless, as unlikely that a phrase like testable Own Test techapple.org. Please would be included in a dictionary attack.
Security can be improved further by adding special characters or numbers, for instance by substituting every third e with 3, or adding a space after the tenth character. But protection against dictionary attacks is not the only benefit that passphrases have. They can also be designed to be more memorable than a random password of the same size.
Even if you are using a password manager like KeePass, you may sometimes want to create passphrases, for instance when you sometimes need the password in situations when you do not have access to KeePass.
KeePass and Passphrases
KeePass ,we can say excellent password manager, and one of its strengths is its extensibility. Word Sequence Generator is the name of the plugin that adds passphrase generation support to KeePass.  All that needs to be done to install the plugin is to download it from the Sourceforge project website and extract its contents into the root KeePass directory. KeePass needs to be restarted if it is already open to pick up the new plugin.
The plugin becomes available in KeePass’ Password Generation Options menu. Just select WordSequence under Generate using custom algorithm, and click on the settings button on the right of the line afterwards to configure it.
Here we can then add words into the dictionary that used to create passphrases. This step is really important, and while you are at it, we can also check out the generation options on the right. Here we can select the count of words for your passphrases, configure substitutions to increase the security of the phrases, add extra characters to the passphrase, and define capitalization options. The newly generated passphrases become then available in the Preview tab.
Exiting the settings returned an error on a 64-bit system of Windows, but did not seem to have an impact on the program itself. The configuration changes were saved after all.

Mozilla Firefox 13 launched with new features.

Mozilla has released Firefox 13 on Wednesday, which it says is a speedier, safer version of the open source web browser.
But prior upgrade of new , when Firefox users clicked to open a new tab, they saw simply a blank page, unlike browsers such as Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer, which provide users with links to recently opened or favorite sites. Now, Firefox homepage will feature icons that enable quick access to bookmarks, add-ons , settings, history and downloads. In  addition, when users click for a new tab, they will view thumbnails to their most recently and frequently visited sites.

New Version of  Firefox also boasts a new home page and tab page layout similar to those of competing browsers such as Google's. The new tab experience is also part of an overall redesign that will make the browser faster. Firefox 13 now loads tabs on demand first for the tab that a user is currently viewing, and then the background tabs when they're opened, allowing the browser to start faster.

In another level of potential improvement to speed, New version of Firefox 13 now by default supports the SPDY protocol, which can be speedier than HTTP. Mozilla said it would significantly reduce load times on websites that support SPDY.

The new version will also be available to an additional 15 million people around the world, according to Mozilla, since Firefox 13 supports the Khmer language. The browser now supports more than 85 languages worldwide.Current Firefox users will have an automatic upgrade next time the start the browser.

IPv6 Launched Today.

When we used internet by any device or any media, an IP addresses is assigned to the device. This may be a temporary IP that may get changed with every connection, or a static IP address that never changes. Internet has now come into a situation where there are more requests for IP addresses than available addresses. This leads to a situation where growth on the Internet is slowed down because of that fact.
From current view structure scenario IPv4 address space is good for 4.3 billion IP addresses, a large number but not nearly large enough. For consider apart: there are more smartphones alone available in the world than IP addresses available. And smartphones are not the only devices that people make use of to connect to the Internet. They have desktop PCs, laptops, printers, gaming systems and maybe even refrigerators that can also connect to the Internet. Plus, there is the business side of things, with servers and networks that also need IP addresses.
Basically, around the world has run out of IP addresses,  that’s why the new standard IPv6 is being launched today. Being launched does not mean that it will be switched on, and the other will be switched off. Internet Service Providers, websites and network hardware manufacturers are merely enabling IPv6 for their products permanently on that day. It will run in parallel with IPv4 for some time.
For the majority of Internet users, nothing changes at all today. You will still be able to connect to the Internet as usual, and access websites and services like before. Depending on the devices and operating systems used, some users may even need to upgrade their hardware or software in the future before they become IPv6 compatible.  For now though, thanks to IPv4 and IPv6 running in parallel, Internet connectivity should not be any different from yesterday, or a year ago.
If you are interested in your system’s IPv6 compatibility, you can run this little test in a web browser of your choice to find out more about it.

Google to buy Meebo for social media startup.

The world's biggest search engine, Google Inc, will buy Meebo Inc, a startup that helps online publishers connect their websites with social network sites, Meebo said on its blog.
Last month, technology blog All Things Digital reported that Google was in talks to buy Meebo in a deal worth about $100 million.

California-based Meebo provides software that lets users share pages on social networking sites, including Facebook, allowing publishers and advertisers to promote products in interactive ways.

"We are always looking for better ways to help users share content and connect with others across the web, just as they do in real life," a Google person said.

"We look forward to closing the transaction and working with the Meebo team to create more ways for users to engage online."

Meebo, founded in 2005, says it reaches half of the US Internet population, allowing users to build their own web experiences around the things that interest them the most.
