Microsoft will launch Windows 8 Beta in Feb 2012

Microsoft will launch Windows 8 beta in coming February. The Windows 8 operating system is Microsoft's attempt to make a mark in the tablet market. The OS will come with the Metro UI, made famous by Windows Phone 7, to be used on touch enabled tablet devices.Microsoft will also introduce the Windows 8 App Store, which will offer apps meant for the tablet devices powered by the operating system.

Released Windows 8 Developer Preview and it recorded 3 Million downloads as of now and got positive feedback from the developers. Microsoft also invited developers to submit Metro Style applications for inclusion in the Windows Store for Windows 8 Beta. Based on the feedback on Windows 8 Developer Preview, Microsoft improving the upcoming OS and set to release public beta in February 2012 along with Windows Store.

As per features aspects, users can change the start screen colour and start screen background image. And able to resize the display of icons in start screen which are not having tiles. Windows Media Center will be there in Beta and users will be blessed with many other improvements to enjoy Windows 8 Beta in Desktop, Laptop and in Tablet.

To access the Windows Store, companies will have to pay $99 per year and the individual developers will be required to pay $49 per year subscription.
