Backstit.ch,name of same functions like iGoogle startpage.

Nice to first look in personal start page of Backstit.ch which launched today as a public beta. It looks basically aims to fill the gap in iGoogle which will be leaving once Google retires the service on November 1, 2013. It will compete with established services such as Netvibes or My Yahoo, so let’s see what it has to offer right now.
Today when I used to enter signed up to get started creating your own personal start page on the Internet, or skip that and used all of the features the service is currently making available. A click on catalog on the left displays the various modules that the service is making available.

There are various version concentrates on related to social networking, photos, news and shopping related service modules that we can add to use on start page.
• News: A collection of popular news sites, including New York Times, Yahoo! News or NBC News, as well as tech blogs such as Mashable, TechCrunch or Engadget.
• Social: concentrates on FacebookTwitter and LinkedIn, with options to see updates, posts and various other account related or public information posted on those sites.
• Shopping: Groupon, Woot and a handful of other deals related sites are available with lot of options.
• Photos: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and photos shared on Tumblr can be added to the start page.

Each module that you add to the start page comes with configuration options. News for instance can be filtered with use of lot of categories according to interest wise in and words that the news need to contain.
Backstit.ch is currently a beta product and as such likely not feature complete. It is currently missing features that I’d expect a start page service to offer, including:
• Import of opml files
• Sharing options
• Custom tabs
• Widgets or gadgets like weather reports, calculator, currency converter
• Internet search

New Apple iPhone5 released with lot of features.

Apple expected to finally announce the next iPhone series iPhone5. Apple's implemented the iPhone 5 or "the new iPhone," have a lot of good features like bigger screen, or come with seven arms sticking out of it and months of. As big of the iPhone rumor mill, it has been entertaining, but we're looking forward to a brief moment of peace until a whole new batch of rumors comes out for the next eration like with lot of functions and features in the normal usable types for the consumers.
Some of the Specifications are as follows :-
The world's thinnest smartphone (or is it?) at 7.6mm (0.3 inches) - is made entirely of glass and aluminum, which is 18 percent thinner (0.30 inch vs. 0.37 inch thick) than the iPhone 4S. Apple says it's the thinnest handset around, but that's a race that changes often. That means it's also 20 percent lighter for a total of 3.95 ounces. The Retina Display expands from 3.5 inches (its size since the original iPhone) to 4 inches. The total resolution remains the same, though, at 326 pixels per inch. The total pixel count is 1,136x640, and we now have a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen is fantastic and iOS 6 and mainly that is very good 4G connectivity and a slightly tweaked design.
iPhone 5's redesigned Ear Pods has finally done away with the round ear buds that never really stayed put in iPhone 5 owners' ears.
Smaller dock connector, smaller SIM card showed on the bottom of the iPhone 5, there's that new and long-anticipated smaller dock connector called Lightning it has an all-digital, eight-signal design and an adaptive interface.
Battery life of New iPhone5 supposed to get 8 hours of 3G talk time, 8 hours of 3G browsing, 8 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hours of video playback, 40 hours of music playback, and 225 hours of standby time.
Audio of iPhone5 gets an additional microphone for a total of three. When you'll find one on the bottom, one on the handset's front face, and one on its rear side. What's more, the speaker now has five magnets (so up from two), which is apparently better and it's supposed to use 20 percent less space.

Lot of changes in application notification in Windows 8.

Recent application updates with new OS Windows 8. Microsoft has completely crushed the face of their flagship product, On the Start button that has been so integral since the Windows 95 days, as well as adding a brand new Start screen that, while on the other working well on upcoming traditional computers, is clearly board towards tablets. When we click on the new Start screen there are new types of apps will appear as Windows Phone-like real in live tiles which continuously updates with new information. If we require all of these flashing messages on the screen seem a bit overwhelming then you can scale it back using the built-in Operating Systems  settings.
To get application updated notification you will need to access the menu by moving your mouse (or finger if you’re using a touch-screen) to the top or bottom right of the screen, then click the ‘Settings’ option followed by ‘PC Settings’.

From the left column select  ‘Notifications’.  Here you will find options for ‘Show app notifications’, ‘Show app notifications on the lock screen’ and ‘Play notifications sounds’.  All of these are on by default when you install Windows 8. Below these three selections there is a list of each of the apps on the Start screen.   From this list a user can control individual notifications.
For instance, if you don’t need to see the latest news flashing across the ‘News’ live tile then you can turn it off from here. Again, by default, all of these notifications are on.

While lot of users probably will appreciate the ability to see any update of Email, Calendar Events and all of the other messages that can be displayed on the Windows 8 Start screen, some users may find that it can appear a bit “busy”.

Free Voice Navigation service launched by Google in India.

Google launched its navigation service in India which would allow the Smartphone and Tablets owners to get turn-by-turn voice instructions to reach the destination by walk or drive. This service will be available free for all types of Android platforms.
For another level app was available free with all the Android versions, it’s lacked official supported till now. Current beta version of this app was found to be accurate in a test by TOI. The users can select instructions either for walking or driving and the app automatically reroutes its coordinates, in case the user deviates from proposed path. It also provides layered information on the popular landmarks, petrol banks, ATMs and restaurants on the way.
According to Darren Baker, product manager for Google Maps, “the service, which is available in 40 languages in 74 countries, is now offered only in English. However, the announcement of upcoming directions in the navigation service is in a ‘friendly, familiar Indian accent’”. India is a ‘dynamic and fast-growing’ market for online map services, he continued.
Even though India is a strong customer base for many Smartphone manufacturers and internet based services, not many free navigation services were available to the customers on devices, except Nokia, which offered a navigation service in some of its high end phones. Some paid navigation apps were also available. However, none of these were purely effective in helping people navigate through the highly unorganized Indian routes. But with the availability of Google’s navigation, along with some of its other services like ‘Local’- a dynamic directory of places around a user, and ‘transit’- that uses data supplied by public transport authorities to allow users to get information on routes and times of buses or trains by public transport, the navigation in India, is expected to get much easier.
